This is the ghost catfish. The ghost catfish also known as the glass catfish. This fish comes to us from Southeast Asia and it's a really popular fish with aquarius due in part tp its see-through body. When kept in large groups, the glass catfish can make for a pretty interesting display. Now the glass catfish grows typically around two inches in size when kept in aquariums. But it has scientifically describeb as reaching up to six inches in the wild and with a max lifespasn of around five years. The glass catfish is a peaceful fish and it'll get along with other glass catfish and other fishes around the same size making it a great choice for a community aquarium.

When keeping multiple glass catfish it's best pratice to keep one glass catfish for every two gallons. This fish does appreciate hiding spaces and coverage personally. I like to keep them with broadleaf plants where they can huddle under and feel safe but they also like open spaces to schoelen and kind of swim around it so for glass catfish. I recommend keeping tall plants but only around the edges of the tank, leaving the middle open for swimming around the errata can sword and similar aquatic plants work great for glass catfish as they provide good coverage for your fish without hiding them too much.

Now, one important thing to mention about the glass catfish is that it has a very delicate spine. The glass catfish is easily susceptible to spinal injuries due to rough handling so be very gentle when transporting this fish in and out of tank.

When it comes to feeding, the glass catfish it's best to use slow sinking foods as the glass catfish hangs around the middle section of the tank. Slow sinking foods will ensure that the food passes through the area where your fish. In this case the glass catfish like to hang out in because typically unlike other fish. The glass catfish doesn't go around picking up food from the ground as far as the water parameters go for the glass catfish. They should be kept in soft slightly acidic conditions with a temperature in between 70 and 80 degrees.
